Worry-free Power Supply
The spectrometer is powered through the USB connection of a PC; a separate power supply or battery pack is not necessary. As a result TRISTAN-USB is especially useful for mobile applications where it can be powered through a Notebook.

Ready-to-go Configuration
The spectrometer is available in four different spectral ranges. While the broad-spectrum TRISTAN-USB-UV/VIS/NIR makes fullest use of modern CCD line detection with a spectral range from 190 to 1100nm, the UV/VIS and the VIS/NIR are specially-configured to provide optimum resolution in the UV and NIR wavelength ranges. The VIS model is optimized for color and lighting measurement.

Automatic Exposure Control and Measurement Value Optimization
The spectrometer automatically selects the optimum exposure time in a range from 3.5ms to 16s. This guarantees optimal signal quality. The unwanted effects of saturation and signal noise have thus become a thing of the past. Exposure time can also be controlled manually. Every spectrometer will be individually calibrated before delivery. Output will be stored in the device and the software will automatically check for amplitude correction. Every user can expect clear results, free from device influence, on the first try.

User-friendly Software:
TRISTAN-USB comes with the software TRIWin 3.0. It is operated through the intuitive Graphical User Interface which offers an unrivaled abundance of tools for working with collected data, from archiving and documenting to performing mathematical functions for data analysis and curve smoothing. Output can be exported directly to Excel or saved in graphical format, which makes documentation easy and uncomplicated. Separate laboratory software is unnecessary. TRIWin, nevertheless, provides an additional interface to familiar laboratory software packages already on the market.
