TENIRS is a NIR-process spectrometer system for qualitative and quantitative online analysis of process materials at agricultural facilities, especially at biogas plants. The two component system consists of a sensor head with integrated light source and a central unit containing the spectrometer, optical multiplexer and a PC-compatible data interface. These components are connected by a hybrid cable which transfers the optical measuring signal to the central unit and provides the sensor head with energy and control commands. This arrangement assures that no sensitive optical components are used at the point of measurement, ensuring TENIRS is robust enough for even the roughest industrial environment.
