Spacer
The spacer covers the space between the front of the A1010 lamp housing and the focal point. The spacers end represents the interface to the attached optical setup. Through the wide opening an optional IR-water filter can be installed into the optical path. The spacer can also hold an optical chopper for light intensity modulation. |

Fiber optical light guides
These fused silica or glass fibers are bundled with a core size of 4.78 mm. They are specified for use from 260 nm (fused silica) or 420 nm (glass) up to 1800 nm. One end has an rectangular shape, the other one is round to support typical slit configurations of monochromators. |

Liquid light guides
Liquid light guides have a core of liquid with a diameter of 2 mm or 5 mm. The liquid will elevate the transmission by 50% in the VIS spectrum and extend the spectral range into the deep UV range down to 240 nm.
Optical Chopper OC4000
Motor controlled chopper wheel for low and high speed chopping and shutting of light beams.
The control unit may be analog or digital. The OC4000 consists of a free standing motor head, 5-sector and 30 sector disks, and a control unit. These high-precision disks are photo-etched from CuSn 8 H-V180 and black anodized. A reflective 5-sector disk is optionally available. |

Frequency is displayed directly on the digital display of the control unit. Speed is controlled either manually with ten-turn dial or externally by applying a voltage. A synchronous signal is provided that can be phase-shifted. The OC4000 D includes additionally a digital controller featuring a digital interface. This allows you to control the chopper rate down to 0 Hz via a TTL signal.
