Optical metrology, quality control and process control are typical applications for fiber Switches. m·u·t’s fiber Switch can connect a spectrometer to four different measurement spots. Using piezo electrical switching technology, it switches within less than 5 ms. It has a very compact design and a high optical isolation between the channels. The switching between the channels is operated by BCD coded TTL signals via the integrated subD25 socket.
