The clearest results can only be obtained if stray light is minimized and saturation is eliminated. In order to maximize the quality of your measurments, the light needs to be reduced to the range that is optimal for analysis. Filters are the equipment-of-choice for this task.
The m-u-t filter holder has a SMA connector on one end for mounting of SMA fiber optics. The other end is equipped with a female SMA connector and an integrated collimating optic for direct mounting on the SMA connector of a spectrometer, light source or any other component in your optical setup. With this unique design, our filter system can be integrated into an optical setup without the need of an additional fiber optic cable or collimator. This saves space and it improves measurements by reducing losses within the optical setup. The m-u-t filter holder is designed to hold filters with a diameter of 0.5". Filters can be stacked up to 6 mm thickness.

ND filters
Neutral density filters uniformly weaken the intensity of light over a broad spectral range. The m-u-t ND Filters are metallic coated quartz glass filters. These filters weaken the light by a combination of reflection and absorption.
Longpass filters
Longpass filters reduce light intensity at defined Wavelengths. Using this type of filter has numerous applications, for example, reducing second order effects.
We offer longpass filters for commonly requested wavelengths. Longpass filter kits are available in three different options: UV-VIS, VIS or VIS-NIR. Each kit contains 8 Filters in 0.5" diameter which fit into the m-u-t filter holder. A custom wooden storage case with foam lining is also included.
