Channel Photomultiplier

The CPD is based on the latest detector generation. Five different photomultipliers are available for spectral ranges from 165 nm up to 850 nm. The unique design makes it possible to achieve extremely low dark count rates while getting high amplification at the same time. In contrast to conventional photomultipliers, no resistor chain is necessary. Therefor electronically generated noise is minimized. The electrons are amplified in the spiral channel, where the impressed high voltage is evenly distributed.

The CPD comes with integrated amplifier and external control/remote box in several versions. It is a self-contained easy-to-use optical building block for use with common optical bench systems.
